REBREATHER LEVEL 2

This core rebreather programme will improve your dive skills and build your knowledge.
 | PURPOSE OF THE COURSEThis exciting development course is designed to train students in the safe use and technology of Rebreather diving with no decompression, up to 1.2 PpO2 and to a maximum depth of 30 metres/99 feet. |
PREREQUISITES
Subject to the General Diving Standards, this may change without notice;
- To be a minimum of 15 years old
- Completed and passed Level 2 academic section Quick Quiz and Exam.
- Have a minimum of 6 hours logged in water time (confined and openwater) on a rebreather.
- Have a RAID Level 1 or equivalent certification from a recognised training agency and/or complete, to the satisfaction of the instructor, the minimum in water rebreather Level 1 skills. The instructor is to evaluate these skills.
- RAID rebreather Speciality certification or equivalent certification from a recognised training agency
OR
Complete in addition to the core Level 2 training, the academic section, Quick Quiz and Exam of a specific RAID Rebreather Speciality programme.

Documented proof of prerequisite requirements needs to be presented to the appointed Dive Centre for approval prior to any in water training.
OPEN CIRCUIT CROSS OVER TO REBREATHER
Prerequisites
- To be a minimum of 15 years old.
- To be certified for at least 3 months.
- To start the programme: Open Circuit minimum 4 logged hours underwater or 10 logged dives underwater using open circuit, of which 2 logged hours or 5 logged dives shall be whilst diving between 15-20 m/49-65 ft.
- Submit an open circuit level 1 or equivalent certification from a recognised training agency.
- Comply with the prerequisites of the rebreather (to be used) Speciality programme.
- Documented proof of prerequisite requirements needs to be presented to the Dive Centre for approval prior to any in water training.
- Complete and pass on-line RAID Rebreather academic core rebreather Level 2.
- Complete and pass the Quick Quiz and Exam of the academic section of a rebreather Speciality programmes.
The RAID system is a comprehensive programme designed for a variety of rebreather units. The core level of education covers aspects which are common to all rebreathers and the unit specific speciality programmes cover information which is unique to the rebreather of your choice.
To start and qualify as a RAID rebreather diver you need to have completed both the core rebreather level and a unit specific Speciality course.
For further education within the RAID training system, you may continue with the next core rebreather level. The unit speciality course for each rebreather only needs to be completed once.
COURSE CONTENT
- On-line e-learning academic presentations, quizzes, exam and practical skills as detailed.
- Confined and open water sessions as detailed, totalling a minimum of 6 hours logged underwater on a RAID registered rebreather of which 5 hours are in an open water environment.
- If applicable, complete in addition, the requirements as detailed in the speciality rebreather programme.
- On-line confined and open water skills sign off.
The student will be required to complete a quick written quiz with the Instructor prior to the commencement of any in water training

CERTIFICATION
To be certified, the student must have completed a minimum of 6 hours logged underwater training time on a rebreather and if applicable, additional time as specified in the specific rebreather programme.
All confined and open water skills have been acknowledged and accepted on-line (through the RAID web site sign off) as mastered by the certifying RAID instructor and student.
Certification is completed by the RAID Dive Centre on completion of the on-line sign off.
